Check out our prayer spaces on campus!
Our main locations are the MSA Prayer Room in the SSMU Building Basement (Room B09) and the one in the Islamic Studies Library (a small prayer space on the ground floor under the staircase). Please reach out to our VP Prayer (prayer@msamcgill.com) if you have any questions about prayer spaces or Jumuah (Friday) prayers!
Here are the prayer times for Montreal along with the Iqama times for the MSA Prayer Room in the SSMU Basement.
Alhamdulillah! After many years, members of the McGill Muslim Alumni Society (MMAS) and MSA McGill are excited to announce a chaplaincy program dedicated to serving Muslim students at McGill and other Montreal universities!
This program is offered through the MMAS' sister organization, the Mont Lumiere Foundation (MLF) and in collaboration with MSA McGill. The MLF is founded and run by McGill alumni to support the spiritual and mental well being of Muslim students during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
Faisal Malik has a BA in Religion from Concordia University (Montreal, QC), and a MA in Near/Middle Eastern Civilizations from the University of Toronto (Toronto, ON) and a Diploma in Arabic from the International Open University. Along with his academic studies he continues to pursue Islamic studies from various institutes and scholars. Faisal also has several years of experience working with several social and community services in Montreal, including those that help Muslims in difficult financial and social circumstances. His interests include topics such as tafsir, tazkiyah, Islamic psychology, colonialism and Islamic education.
Sister Noor Jehan has been a long standing member of the Montreal Muslim community privileged to have been of service in multiple capacities. Sister Noor helps vulnerable women by enriching the community space through knowledge and ressources as well as supporting local rwvert sisters through circles of knowledge.
If you're a student in need of support, looking for guidance, or just need someone to chat with, you can book an online or in-person meeting today with Faisal.
